How can I get brighter light traces?
The darker the shooting environment, or the brighter the light source, the brighter the light traces will be.
The light traces get cut off.
The light traces will get cut off or become faint if the background in Step 1 contains bright light.
If you keep the camera stationary and avoid changing the view throughout all three steps, the bright light in the background will fill in the fainter parts of the light traces, so the symptom may not be as noticeable.
I sometimes get strange light noise in saved images.
If in Step 1 or 2 there are areas other than the light traces where brightness changes light noise may appear in the saved image. Reflections on water are an example.
The colors of subjects in the saved image sometimes differ from their actual colors.
If there are areas where the color changes between Steps 1 and 2, the colors may appear different in the saved images. Color-changing illumination is an example.

Preparation Image Shooting?
Press ● on the control wheel during Step 2 or 3.
During Step 3 on some camera models (DSC-HX60, DSC-HX60V), select MENU→[Application Top] and start over from paint time selection instead.
