PlayMemories Camera Apps Help Guide

Digital Filter

Using “Digital Filter,” you can create shooting effects similar to graduated ND, reverse graduated ND, half color, color stripe, and other filters used in landscape photography, etc. For example, you can use it to shoot the beautiful “golden hour” or “blue hour” just before or after sunrise and sunset.

    • Before launching the application, make the “Pre-settings” as necessary.

    The shooting screen is displayed.
  3. Compose the shot and press the (AREA SET.) button.

The [Area Settings] screen is displayed.

The shutter is released continuously and two or three images are taken.

    • The actual shot may differ from what is displayed on the [Area Settings] screen. Select [Adjust] on the [Preview] screen to adjust the position or defocusing of the boundary for the actual shot.

Pre-settings

  • Before using a camera with a built-in ND filter, set [ND filter] to [Off] or [On] instead of [Auto] using MENU on the camera.
  • For cameras with a [Lens Comp.] function, we recommend that you set [Distortion Comp.] to [Off] using the camera’s MENU in advance. If it is set to anything other than [Off], there may be a gap between the boundary position on the [Area Settings] screen and that in the actual shot.
  • When using an interchangeable lens with an aperture ring, set the aperture ring to the “A” position.
